What We Do

FOR UNION MEMBERS

MEDICAL EVALUATION:

Fed-Hurt provides initial medical evaluation and physical therapy treatment for injured Federal employees throughout our network of OWCP registered providers.

CLAIMS MANAGEMENT:

Fed-Hurt has processed thousands of claims for ALL Federal employees since 1998.

OVERSIGHT:

Fed-Hurt has a 97.9% acceptance rate on all initial claims.

Fed-Hurt will see any patient without an approved claim.

Patient is seen by the MD and provides the appropriate medical narrative detailing causation.

Therapy will begin immediately.

Diagnostic imaging will be scheduled accordingly.

Referrals to specialists will be scheduled accordingly.

Getting Started

  • Patient makes initial call to headquarters.
  • Initial claims management with our team.
  • Fed-Hurt coordinates initial telemedicine appointment with patient and provider.
  • Day of appointment, new patient fills out intake form.

What About Denials?

TWO KEY FACTORS

‣  Fed-Hurt will initiate any Developmental or Denial of claim process and follow through to the initial acceptance of a claim.

‣ Fed-Hurt will accept an initially denied claim and help provide adjudication as long as the denial is received at least 60 days prior to the deadline.
