3rd Act
March 20th marked the official first day of Spring. It also marked the beginning of ONE-FED’s third act.
We started as a small, solo chiropractic office with big dreams nearly 27 years ago. And now, 2025 will be the first time I’ve not had a business centered directly around patient care. Even though I haven’t personally treated patients in some time, I’ve always valued the chance to engage with them and play a part—however small—in their recovery journey.
The road to going “virtual” has been an interesting one, to say the least. Technology and social media have been powerful drivers of our growth. And while there have certainly been bumps and redirections along the way, our most recent pivot has been smoother than expected.
As an entrepreneur, I’m often gobsmacked by how quickly some companies seem to rise to the top. But truthfully, those overnight success stories that pop into the public eye are the outliers—not the norm.
Because I’m intentional about our success, and because of how long it’s taken to reach this stage, I sometimes find myself discouraged when I take stock of where we are. But then I remember: real growth—the kind that lasts—takes time. My mentor, Dr. Larry Markson, used to say that every new patient experience should feel like a Broadway play: a big opening, no one remembers the middle, and a big close. That’s exactly how I intend to finish my time at the helm—with a very big close.
But before I dive into the purpose of this blog, I need to acknowledge my team. They’ve been instrumental in helping navigate this transition since the beginning of the year. Truth be told, I began laying the groundwork for this shift back in mid-November, but the final push—the execution—has been entirely thanks to them. They showed up for every “Big Board” session. They completed contracts with new providers in record time, configured our IT systems, reformatted countless documents, built out essential lists, developed software, and kept our patients and provider network informed every step of the way. And they did all of this while continuing to care for the people we serve. Kobe famously disagreed with Shaq’s work effort during the off season. Shaq reminded Kobe that there is no I in TEAM. Kobe responded with there is a ME though. My team is definitely team Shaq.
Q2 kicks off on April 1st, followed quickly by the tax deadline—and with Easter and Passover on the horizon, the season of growth and renewal is officially here.
Here in South Florida, we’ve been enjoying what’s often called “Chamber of Commerce weather” (look it up!) for the past three to four weeks—clear skies, warm breezes, and sunshine that makes everything feel a little more possible. It’s that classic spring feeling in full force.
This is the perfect time of year to commit to the improvements, projects, or distinctions you want to make moving forward. For us at One-Fed, we’re 100% all in on building our brand and expanding our network. Stepping away from direct patient management at our previous location has created space—space to connect more deeply with our goals, our mission, and the future we’re creating. I share this with you because maybe—just maybe—there’s something standing in the way of your own potential. And sometimes, we’re not even aware of what that “something” is. So how do you know if you’re in your own way? Here’s a thought: if your desire for growth—whether personal or professional—isn’t coming to life, and your vision isn’t unreasonable or unrealistic, then it might be time to check the mirror. Because here’s what I know: the desire to improve, paired with a clear plan of action and a realistic timeline, will always produce results.
- Identify the Desire – What’s the one area you want to improve or evolve? Keep it simple and focused—clarity drives momentum.
- Define the Goal – Make it measurable and realistic. Tie it to a specific outcome or change you can recognize.
- Create the Strategy – What are the 3–5 concrete steps you’ll take to move forward? Include the tools, people, or resources you’ll need.
- Set the Timeline – Be honest about what can happen in 30, 60, or 90 days. Break it down week by week if that helps you stay on track.
- Track & Adjust – Check in regularly—what’s working, what’s not? Don’t be afraid to pivot, refine, or accelerate.
Q2 isn’t the time to hesitate. This is not a drill. We’re past the planning stage—this is execution season. There are obstacles. There always are. But forward is the only direction. Roy Cohn, a famous celebrity attorney had three rules: Never admit you’re wrong. Never back down. Always attack. While I don’t subscribe to all of Cohn’s worldview, I understand the intent—commit fully, move aggressively, and never let hesitation become a habit. This quarter, we act with clarity. We move with conviction. No half-efforts. No waiting for perfect. Begin your renewal today!
